Laughter is my drug of choice. I practice “mind-full-ness” which is a big job, since my mind is often full of stuff that seems really important, and I have to mind it to sort-through the stuff I find there, decern what is worth the energy, and what is not. Kindness, generosity, and compasion are my intention, though when I forget to practice “mindfullness” I forget my intention, temporarily lose my mind, and been known to be less than kind, compassionate and generous. Movies are a great way to escape reality when reality is too real. Books are another of my “drugs,” and collect around me like jets on a busy tarmack eager for lift-off. The natural world, and gardening are on my “approved” list of meds which I need in regular doses, and I don’t get nearly enough of. Life is stranger than fiction my mom once said, and she was right (among other things she was right about) Time is an “illusion,” although I forget that all the time. Damn! Did I mention I prefer laughter over pickled Herring, Yanni, Reality TV and the saying, “its all good!”?
